In this four day online workshop we will be painting fun, loose landscapes using the wet into dry technique. We will start with a simple drawing and a limited palette and use mostly flat brushes.
Each week we will paint a different scene. I will walk you through the watercolor process step by step. I can help you get over your fear of watercolors and on your way to painting lively, loose watercolors.
Classes will be presented using Zoom.
Class runs 10 AM to 1 PM PST Fridays, October 29 to November 19
In this one day workshop we will be working on full sheets of watercolour paper using the wet into dry technique and using a flat brush to create loose and lively florals.
Class runs 10 AM to 2 PM on Friday, July 30 in our backyard in White Rock, BC. We have tents for cover in case of rain or sun, and every student gets their own 6 fit table to work on. We break for a quick lunch so bring a sack lunch and join in for a day of art camaraderie.

In this one day workshop we will be sketching and painting all sorts of deciduous trees from arbutus and birch to maples. As you paint you will learn how to create different tree shapes, how to add rhythm to your trees, and how to create light and shadow in your trees to give them more form.

In this 1 day workshop I will be demonstrating how to paint large sweeping landscapes. I will be working on a full sheet of watercolour paper, so using large brushes and lots of paint. The backyard is the perfect place to do these large paintings. Come join in and for this fun and exciting class.

Do your barn roofs not look quite right? In this 1 day workshop I will be demonstrating the different rules of perspective. Come join in where you will learn about the difference between 1 point and 2 point perspective, what is an eye level line and why is it important, and what are the rules to drawing objects in perspective making them appear more 3-D.
